Small Havanese Dog helping wild animals such as Moose, Deer and different kinds of birds with supplemental food before the hard winter is coming. Wintertime here in Sweden where the little cute Havanese dog lives is often very cold, harsh and long. Often around 5 months, from November until May. And the temperature can go as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius. Later in the winter season the snow is often covered by a thick layer of ice. This layer of ice is a huge problem for the deers living around our neighborhood. The deers need to digg thru the ice to reach their food. This is a serious problem and approx. 40% of the deer population died of starvation last winter. The little cute Havanese Dog will help Moogie is a 4,5 kg little cute Havanese Dog and he is very interested (together with his family) to help the animals survive by placing out supplemental food and needed minerals for local animals such as deers, moose, hare, rabbit and birds. So the little dog and his family decided to build a solid deer feeding station and place it on the backside of their garden which borders to the forest. Here the wild animals can reach the supplemental food undisturbed and without trespassing a road or other people’s houses/gardens. The little dog’s uncle even build a secure bird feeder for all the small birds to visit. Then larger birds get supplemental food in the open. The little dog took his family shopping for appropriate supplemental food for the animals, such as a 300 kg. hay bale which we picked up on a barn yard plus 4 mineral stones, carrots, horse food, deer power pellets and peanuts, power balls and mixed seed for the birds. It’s November and around minus 10 degrees Celsius now so we shared a little bit of the food with the animals so they start learning where to get supplemental food. The animals will remember this and for sure come back to us when winter is rough and cold. The little dog and his uncle installed 3 IR video cameras with movement sensors and got some really good video clips of the animals visiting us for the first time. Moogie and his humans really enjoy doing this project. No animals was harmed during this video. If you want to follow my adventurous dog life, you should subscribe to this channel.
