After crossing the Scottish Borders region, we entered England in Cumbria to ride the Hadrian's Way Cycle Path to Newcastle. From Newcastle we headed into the Yorkshire Wolds area for some accidental hike-a-bike singletrack that was well worth the struggle. We continued on to the Fens, Rochester, Boston, Cambridge, London, Canterbury and eventually made our way to Dover and the ferry to Dunkirk where we will continue our journey in France and the low countries.
We probably didn't pick the most scenic route through England as we were focused on getting to Dover as fast as possible due to time constraints, but we ended up discovering a ton of beautiful gravel towpaths and bridleways along National Cycle Route 1.
