Brompton goes across Shimanami.
CYCLING SHIMANAMI 2024 was held on October 27, 2024. Despite of disappointing rain forecast a day before, the sun came out in the morning and blue sky was seen. 3500 cyclists from 27 countries and areas enjoyed a wonderful ride and spectacular views from West Seto Motorway over the sea.
I participated in the E course and went over the route between Imabari and Onomichi (Mukaishima) 63km on Bromton S4E-X, modified to P-line gear and equipped with 58T Chainring and 11-12-14-17T rear sprockets.
Great thanks to the organizer and staff, volunteers and other people related to the event. And Special thanks to Governer Nakamura of Ehime Prefecture who initiated the event 12 years ago and joined the ride (E course) from Imabari to Onomichi by himself.
