Video Not Working? Fix It Now

The Czech Republic is one of the most industrialized countries in the world. After overthrowing communist rule in 1989, it managed to conduct successful economic reforms and, in three decades, built a strong market economy that shows stable growth.

In the history of Ukraine and the Czech Republic, there are significant analogies that make the Czech experience very valuable and instructive for our country. At the same time, there are also obvious differences, which is why today our countries occupy very different positions in the global rankings of economic success.

In the video, we explain how the Czech Republic managed to implement rapid liberal reforms in the economy, achieve integration into the EU and NATO, which increased investments in one of the most developed former socialist countries in the world.

However, the Czech experience is not flawless: coupon privatization failed, and the modern pension system is reminiscent of the Ukrainian one in terms of backwardness.
