To Make Roasted Paneer
Paneer - 400 Gms
Salt - 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
Kasuri Methi - 1 Tsp
Ghee - 2 Tsp
To Make Curd Mixture
Paneer - 500 Gms
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 2 Tsp
Cumin Powder - 1 Tsp
Coriander Powder - 2 Tsp
Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
To Make Dahi Paneer
Oil - Tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
Bay Leaf
Onion - 2 Nos
Garlic Paste - 1 Tsp
Ginger Paste - 1 Tsp
Water - 1 Cup
Cashew Paste - 1/2 Cup
Curd Mixture
Roasted Paneer
Green Chilli - 2 Nos
Kasuri Methi
Method
Take 400 gms of paneer, cut into cubes and marinate the paneer with salt, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilli powder and kasoori methi and mix well.
Coat the paneer pieces with all the spice mix. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
For the curd mixture, take 500 ml of curd in a large bowl and add turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt and mix it all well.
To a pan, add ghee, marinated paneer and roast well and keep it aside.
Take a wide kadai, pour oil, once the oil is heated, add cumin seeds, bay leaf , onions finely chopped and saute to a nice golden brown colour.
Add a tsp of fresh garlic paste and ginger paste and saute till the raw smell goes.
Then add the curd mixture and turn off the stove.
Quickly stir the curd mixture.
Turn the stove on and keep stirring the curd mixture for 5 mins.
Add a cup of water and mix well. Close the kadai and cook for another 5 mins.
Add diluted cashew paste.
Once the gravy starts boiling add in the roasted panner pieces.
Add two green chillies slit. Close the kadai and cook for another 3 mins.
Add fresh kasoori methi and chopped coriander leaves and mix together.
Tasty Dahi paneer is ready to be served.
