Dark energy is an interesting topic for astronomy lovers as well as any common man. Some people, associate the Term "Dark "with some black magic, and spells , spirits even demons. Many consider dark matter and dark energy as the same. Firstly we should understand that Dark Energy is not the same as dark matter, not even related to each other in any ways. Dark Matter and Dark energy are totally different concepts. The total matter and energy of our universe can be divided us follows :
The normal matter which we know is only 4.9%. 26.8% of dark matter and remaining 68.3% of dark energy. isnt it astonishing to know that 68.3% of matter and energy in our universe is in the form of dark energy. Dark energy is directly associated with the expansion of the universe. Hence to throw light on expansion of our universe, we should know more about the dark energy. Lets discuss the role of dark energy in the expansion of the universe, what are its effects and most importantly we need to find out whether Dark energy can decide the fate of our universe ? lets find out more through this video
