It's Monday evening. I went to check out my old farmhouse that I recently bought and do a few more things that I didn't finish during holidays. The previous owner warned me that storms in this area can be very intense. It's just a flat field, there's literally nothing around for a few miles.
I managed to hide right before the storm arrived.
I experienced a lot of thunderstorms in my life but this is something different.
You feel so small when you watching those colossal clouds approaching. You can't do anything.. only wait and hope it won't be that bad. It's kind of scary but at the same time you can't stop looking out the window. It's almost hypnotic.
We are so used to the sound of birds, you don't even realize you're hearing them until they stop singing. All I can hear is the wind blowing through this old house and ominous distant rolling thunders.
The atmosphere is so intense that even with your eyes closed you can sense that something is coming. You don't know what, but your instincts are trying to warn you.
I just can't decide if I bought this house in the best place ever... or the worst.
