Rumored for months, this press conference made it official: Tom Snyder was to follow David Letterman's Late Show on a newly-created Letterman-owned talk show on CBS called Late Late Show, starting in early 1995 (January 9). The historical ironies could not be more apparent, as was made all the more clear in the journalists' questions.
