And so one realizes that the only way to create is to do it for oneself and never for the rest. Not for the promoters, not for the labels and not for the public.
The understanding of this means freeing yourself. You realize that the work done speaks for itself, that the opinion of others regarding such work doesn't matter as, in essence the work manifests its own defensive mechanism.
I keep traveling, sleeping badly, eating poorly and sometimes living at the end of my tether. Slowly perfecting the bags under my eyes and the cheekbones on my face like a sculptor would his stone. Living in the solitude of that which is loneliness, accompanied only by Hesse, Camus and Sartre, walking among never ending platforms and terminals. Weighing out the already lived and the yet to come.
And one starts realizing that in life, there is no better privilege than for a man to be able to choose his own path, his own end and therefore his own predestined life force towards that end.

Y entonces uno se da cuenta de que la única manera de crear es hacerlo para uno mismo y nunca para los demás. Ni para los promotores, ni para los sellos, ni para el público. Entender eso es liberarse.
Y cuando eso pasa te das cuenta de que las obras se defienden solas, y que la opinión que los demás hacen sobre ellas no necesita ser defendida, ya que es la misma esencia de la obra la que se manifiesta y defiende.
Y yo sigo viajando, mal durmiendo, mal comiendo y a veces mal viviendo. Esculpiendo mis ojeras y pómulos como un escultor trabaja la roca. Viviendo en la soledad del viaje acompañado solo por Hesse, Camus y Sartre, caminando entre andenes y terminales. Sopesando el peso de lo vivido y aguardando lo que está por llegar.
Y uno se va dando cuenta de que en la vida no hay privilegio mayor para un hombre que elegir su propio camino, su propio fin, y en última instancia su propio camino hacia el fin.
