Figure skating legend Nancy Kerrigan spoke to members of the media at the Skating Club of Boston, after several figure skaters were killed in the DC plane crash. "I just feel for the athletes, their skaters, their families - but anyone who was on that plane, not just the skaters," Kerrigan said. "It's just such a tragic event." Passengers on the flight included a group of figure skaters, their coaches and family members who were returning from a development camp that followed the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita. "When you find out you know some of the people on the plane, even bigger blow," Kerrigan told reporters. Officials said 67 people were killed in the collision of a passenger plane and an Army helicopter near Ronald Reagan National Airport. "Tell people around you that you love them, because you just never know. Don't forget to say it," Kerrigan added. All 64 people aboard an American Airlines jet that collided with an Army helicopter were feared dead in what was likely to be the worst U.S. aviation disaster in almost a quarter century, officials said. At least 28 bodies, including all three soldiers who were on the helicopter, have been pulled from the icy waters of the Potomac River as recovery operations continue.
