This video was recorded for the 2024 Art of the Horseman Fair which we have been honored to be a part of since 2020.
We've all experienced or at least known someone who has had a horse that proved difficult to catch. I've heard of people getting to the barn hours earlier knowing that it could take as long to catch their horse, often to give up after those hours when they still have not succeeded, I've also heard stories of people physically throwing themselves at their (smaller) horse to try catch it... launching with arms grabbing around the neck. Please never try that, you and your horse could get very badly injured and all you'll do is scare your horse more when it comes to being caught.
So, here is a clear video showing and explaining the Art of Catching a Horse.
Enjoy.
