But, you can make a fresh one as follows: ➡️1.25 oz Rye Whiskey (he used Sazerac Rye) ➡️1.25 oz Cognac (he used Haut de Vigne VSOP) ➡️0.5 oz (or slightly less) Simple Syrup (while the traditional uses a muddled sugar cube, my dad used Simple Syrup) ➡️3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters ➡️2 dashes Angostura Bitters ➡️1/2 tsp Absinthe ➡️Lemon Peel Garnish To Make: 1️⃣Chill a rocks glass in the freezer. 2️⃣Add the first five five ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled (~30 revolutions) 3️⃣Add the absinthe to the chilled glass and swirl it around to coat the glass, then discard (or, if you're me, just drink it) 4️⃣Strain the cocktail into the glass 5️⃣Express the oils of the lemon peel over the drink and rub around the rim of the glass, then either drop in or discard *"AMSSADOR SATCH" BY LOUIS ARMSTRONG & HIS ALL-STARS, 1956* https://www.discogs.com/release/14777443-Aretha-Franklin-Aretha-Now If you're into vinyl, you can follow me on Discogs to check out my collection: https://www.discogs.com/user/tartinm
