well, it's here. this is a very highly requested video. I get several comments a week asking something along the lines of: what is karma? is there a lost taylor swift album? was there something missing between 1989 and reputation? the answer is by and large, no, definitely not, y'all are insane, etc.
I know it's fun to get insane with the easter eggs and piece together the various 'clues' so I decided to deconstruct the deep dives into karma to hopefully, demonstrate how absurd and implausible the whole theory is.
many people will point to bleachella, hiddleswift, the breakdown of tayvin, and taylor swift in 2016 in general as proof of this but...I just don't think it's plausible! first of all the timeline doesn't make any sense. how could she possibly have written an entire *autobiographical* album during the most turbulent and chaotic period of her life, in which everyone was canceling her and Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were personally bullying her.
I just don't think it's possible!!!! I've also approached this through the lens of reputation. because, like, what was there really left to say beyond that specific period of time? I felt like she was pretty open and honest on that record and in interviews beyond during the lover era, and even on folklore indirectly.
