Version FRANCAISE: https://youtu.be/P1nbIjlBYG4 For a long time I've been searching for the best method to make deep but detailed v-carved inlays in end-grain cutting blocks and other pieces. I'm still learning but I wish I had found a detailed tutorial that would have saved me a lot of time and waste. So I made one (there is a French version here: https://youtu.be/P1nbIjlBYG4 ). I've used a lof of schematics and examples to explain start depth, flat depth, bit angles, glueing, etc. I've tried to cover all the bases! Feel free to follow along and do your own v-carved Youtube button! The "Start Depth" technique was originally developed by Paul Zank and Damien Durrant: http://www.vectric.org/video/aspire4-vcp7/2d-25d-techniques/D07/VCarve_Inlay_Description_and_Procedure.pdf I use a Euro Makers Aureux 3X CNC, similar to an X-Carve or a Shapeoko. The software is Vectric VCarve Desktop.
