new upload after 6 months yippie!!!! I’m not dead 🎉🎉
I actually made this cover for one of my uni assignments a few weeks ago, I never actually had a plan to upload this anywhere, I was just going to keep this thing sitting in my computer as soon as I was done lol.
But then I saw the Wicked movie yesterday, and got really, REALLY inspired. So I polished up the mix and tuning a little bit, then made a quick simple video, all in under like, 5 hours. I’ve still got uni finals coming up, so I didn’t want to make anything too complex or time consuming. Besides, I think a simple lyric MV works best with this kind of song. Less is more and all that.
I’ve been listening to Defying Gravity since like, forever. I think this song altered the chemistry in my brain in the best way possible haha. I also wanted to try Synth V’s Cross-Lang, English is something I’ve always wanted to do more of, but I always found it harder to tune compared to Japanese, and especially with Synth V AI banks. Luckily, raidergale’s SVP already had pitchbend tuning I could reference, so that was very helpful. Tuning Teto in English is painfully tedious, but kinda fun. At least I’ve learned tons of new stuff about it I can apply to future covers!!
Also I know it may look like I'm dead... but I promise I'm always cooking behind the scenes!! just really slowly bcz these days i've gotten way busier irl
The next few cover projects I’ve been working on are WAY more ambitious than anything i've ever made (there’s so many it makes my head spin). I've been really busy with life, uni, and my freelance work, but I want to still continue uploading things. I've got SO many projects I'm working on, just might take me a while!
