Hello friends,
This week we're taking a look at deities of wortcunning- specifically the gods and goddesses that have some interest in the plant spirit path and our work with the herbs!

We'll begin with a chat about who and what deities are, move into why someone might want to include them in herbalism or herb magic, and then survey a bunch of my faves from several traditions including Vedic, Etruscan, Greek, Norse, Irish, and Anglo-Saxon.

This is another one of those topics that I could talk about too much- so somehow I limited it to an hour. I hope you enjoy!

Hey! This is a reminder to drop a comment below and let me know who you work with and how they bless your plant spirit path... and to share this with some herby friend of yours :)

DECLARATION:
I sincerely believe that spiritual herbalism as I practice it, traditional wortcunning, and the ways of the old gods are welcoming to all people, from all places, with radical inclusion of ALL sincere people of every ethnicity, religion, gender, orientation, ability, and identity- as it has been since forever and will continue to be. Engaging in traditional wortcunning requires nothing other than a respect for the many cultures who added their wisdom to the cauldron; participation through language, arts, and culture just adds depth, but isn't a requisite. YOU are welcome here, and YOU can sit with me.
