Sourdough Pecan Sticky Buns:
For the dough:
1/4 cup warm milk
1 tsp yeast
1 tsp honey
Mix and let stand 10 mins. Then add:
1 cup sourdough starter
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
2 eggs
3-4 cups flour
Mix until it forms a nice soft dough (I like to use my KitchenAid mixer). Cover and let ferment in refrigerator overnight. This is the dough for the pecan sticky buns. The next morning, proceed with the following recipe, using this as your dough.

My Ice Cream Base:
1 quart heavy cream
3/4 cup maple syrup (or sugar)
10 egg yolks
dash of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
Heat the cream and maple syrup until hot (do not boil). Slowly temper in the eggs and take off heat. Stir in salt and vanilla. For the mint chocolate ice cream I also added 1.5 Tablespoons good quality peppermint extract and a drop of green food coloring. Cool completely, then churn in ice cream freezer. For this ice cream I added about 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips in the last minute or two of churning.

Nectarine Honey Popsicles:
4 large nectarines
6 T honey
2 cups yogurt
dash of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
Slice nectarines and place on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons honey and roast at 350 for 30 minutes (or until nectarines are soft and juicy with slightly darkened edges).
Blend together the yogurt, vanilla, salt, and the rest of the honey. Once the nectarines are cooled, mix with yogurt (juices included), and transfer into popsicle molds.
Freeze 4 hours or until firm.
