Journey to the Château, Ep. 261 - In this Friday episode, Patrick and Stuart begin the restoration of the 17th century fireplace in the chateau grand salon. The fireplace had been poorly altered in a 19th century style to try and reduce the firebox opening with bricks for heating efficiency. Radiators had been added to the chateau later for a heating source in the 20th century. Patrick and Stuart begin the demolition to restore the fireplace firebox to its original 17th Century architectural grandeur for the renovation of the grand salon.
