FiddleHed is the fun way to learn fiddling online! Here's a step-by-step lesson on how to play "Johnny's solo" in The Devil Went Down to Georgia by Charlie Daniels. First I'll play a mid-tempo version of the whole thing. Then we'll slowly learn it, note by note, building notes into phrases, building phrases into quarters, until we have each part. Left hand fingerings (TABS): two times on the following: first line: (E0-0)-L1-0-L1-L2-L1-0-A3-E0-L1-0-L1-L2-L1-0-A3-0 second line: AL2-0-L2-0-L2-3-E0-L1-L2-E0-L2-3-L2-L1-A3-E0 then: first line: (E0-0)-L1-0-L1-L2-L1-0-A3-E0-L1-0-L1-L2-L1-0-A3-0 second line: AL2-0-L2-0-L2-3-E0-L1-L2-E0-L2-3-L2-1-A3-E0 then: E3-2-3-0-1-3-1-0-A2-0-1-2-1-0-D2-0 D1-2-A0-2-1-0-D2-0 D1-2-A0-2-1-0-D2-0 D1-2-A0-2-1-0-D2-0-1 G1-3-D0 I made some “Learning Chunks” on the FiddleHed site to help you do this. These focused exercises contain sheet music, tabs and mp3 snippets to guide you on each step of your fiddle journey. These and all new lesson pages can be viewed for one week after publication with a FREE trial membership. Check it out here: https://fiddlehed.com And after you sign up, I’ll also send you a mini-course of lessons specially designed for your skill level. Alrighty. Play every day, have fun 😀 and thanks for making music 🙏 Now, go fiddle with it... Jason 🎻
