On 27th December 1888, 7 year old John Gill, who lived at Thorncliffe Road near Manningham Lane, Bradford, vanished off the face of the Earth. He had last been seen by the local milkman. William Barrett, who John regularly helped on his rounds in the morning. On that day, John had jumped off the cart a few streets before his home....and he was never seen alive again.
2 days later, a young boy went to work at some nearby stables and made a shocking discovery. The heavily mutilated and macabre remains of poor John Gill. The murder was so brutal and hideous that people immediately linked it to the killer currently stalking the streets of London.....Jack the Ripper!
But had jack headed North to begin a new killing spree, or was there a killer in the midst of Bradford?
