For some reason the off grid community has embraced the diesel heater originally designed for transport truck bunk heating. While they work great for their intended purpose, as an off grid heat source they are a dumb idea! They pull a lot of power, burn a lot of diesel fuel, are very noisy, I really do not understand why you all love these things so much. I do install one in my off grid RV as a secondary heat source besides the wood stove and it is already driving my nuts, it is soo noisy compared to a wood stove. I think diesel heaters DO NOT belong off grid at all!
