Dinky's Thunderbird 2 was launched in 1967. Due to its popularity, it was produced in several different versions, until production stopped in 1975. It is often believed that the Thunderbird 2 was produced in many colors other than green because children avoided green things, i.e. vegetables! You can turn on subtitles in your language with the action commentary in the video. The first version of this model featured four bolts in the base model and one rivet in the container. This version also had thin legs which were a very weak element of this model. In the 70's the legs were made thicker. In my copy, all the legs were damaged. There was only one leg left in its entirety, but it was very crooked. I made new legs out of steel wire and put a copper tube clamp on it. Putting it together turned out to be a very stressful activity and required a lot of patience. I also made a box compatible with the original one from this year.
