In response to viewer requests, I'm revisiting the subject of recent new LP purchases of albums that perfectly illustrate the different approaches to 'Audiophile' LP remastering (ie. one of them sounds BAD).
So, in this video I'll be discussing the latest 2024 Fidelity Record Pressing repress of the recent MOFI 45rpm Plangent processed, DXD, DSD treated reissue of Dire Straits' phenomenal 1982 masterpiece Love Over Gold. As reference I compare to my 1982 UK original and also to my cherished Japanese OG of the same year.
Also in this video I talk about the brand new Kevin Gray cut Rhino High Fidelity all analogue AAA release of Miles Davis' stunning 1986 masterpiece Tutu.
One of these LPs is an absolute hit whilst the other, for me, completely misses the mark.
Can you guess which is the winner, and which is the loser?
