After raising red flags about a budget deficit resulting in cuts to homeless services last week, Multnomah County's Homeless Services Department Head is specifying where cuts may take place and responding to concerns from partners who did not expect the announcement.
Dan Field, director for the County and city's Homeless Services Department (formerly Joint Office of Homeless Services), said he and the chair were responding to a sense of urgency on Friday to inform the public about the deficit, particularly amid legislative budget discussions.
