Gandrothu Veera Venkata Vinayaka Rao (born 9 October 1974), better known as V. V. Vinayak, is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his works in Telugu films. Known for directing masala and action comedy films, Vinayak made his film debut with the 2002 film Aadi starring Jr. NTR which was a commercial success.
Vinayak received the state Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director for his work in the film. The film was subsequently remade in Tamil as Jai. In 2003, Vinayak directed two box office hits Dil starring Nithiin and Tagore starring Chiranjeevi. Tagore was screened at the 2006 IIFA Awards held in Dubai. In 2013, Vinayak directed a Short film to promote Organ Donation.
