Disaster Docs: The Archaeology Of Climate Change

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Archaeology has a long history of explaining past cultural and economic changes by the impacts of climate change, but this has become increasingly common in the last two decades. It is important to understand the evidence for these climate changes as well as evidence for the links between them and the cultural disturbances they are purported to have caused. Simply "cherry-picking" ancient cultures that appear to fit the climate-change narrative ignores the possibility that many coincidences of climate and cultural events are just by chance. #archaeology #climatechange #youngerdryas #civilization
