Video Not Working? Fix It Now

A Declaration: Welcome to the Gameological Dig, a channel devoted to playing games with obtuse and interesting stories. The aim of this channel is to treat these game worlds like an archeological site, meant to be unearthed and studied, so that we may better understand their plots, characters and themes. Episode Notes: This is a re-uploaded version of the same video, which should be viewable in SHINY 1080p. Special thanks to "hakamhak" for explaining how to properly export out in 1080p in iMovie. You're a life saver! This was definitely the most challenging video I've attempted yet. Between the combined length of the main game and its DLC's, I devoted TOO MANY HOURS to this playthrough of Dishonored, and damn near ALL of my hard drive space. I made it work, but it pushed me to the limits creatively, since the subject of this video has roughly 10 minutes of screen time in total. It was really quite difficult to compile interesting but relevant scenes in a cohesive fashion. In the end, it came out well enough, but I feel it could be better. Still, it is an informative episode. I've been vying to talk about the lore to Dishonored for a hell of a long time. It's SO compelling and well thought out (though the Outsider's lore is super sparse), and is infinitely cooler than anything which happens in the main narrative. As of now, I have one, maybe two more episodes planned. Depending on this episode's reception, I may do more (some lore vids on Granny Rags, Daud and Dahlia, mayhaps). Anywho, I hope you enjoy episode one of my new series. Game Notes: Dishonored is a 2012 stealth action-adventure video game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was released worldwide in October 2012 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Set in the fictional, plague-ridden industrial city of Dunwall, Dishonored follows the story of Corvo Attano, bodyguard to the Empress of the Isles. He is framed for her murder and forced to become an assassin, seeking revenge on those who conspired against him. Corvo is aided in his quest by the Loyalists—a resistance group fighting to reclaim Dunwall, and the Outsider—a powerful being who imbues Corvo with magical abilities. Several noted actors including Susan Sarandon, Brad Dourif, Carrie Fisher, Michael Madsen, Lena Headey and Chloë Grace Moretz provided voice work for the game. The game is played from a first-person perspective and allows the player to undertake a series of assassination missions in a variety of ways, with an emphasis on player choice. Missions can be completed through stealth, combat, or a combination of both. Exploring each level opens new paths and alternatives for accomplishing mission goals, and it is possible to complete all missions, eliminating all of Corvo's targets, in a non-lethal manner. The story and missions are changed in response to the player's violent actions or lack thereof. Magical abilities and equipment are designed to be combined to create new and varied effects.
