In this video, I’ll show you how I built a Anamometer / Wind Gauge with no moving parts, which should hopefully make it more durable. The core of the project is a set of strain gauges that detect the stresses caused by the wind. I measure those stresses and send the data to Home Assistant over WiFi, thanks to an onboard ESP32.
