This time I’m making a DIY white concrete table with a gold leaf kintsugi canyon. Try Rocket Money for free: https://RocketMoney.com/modustrial (Sponsored by Rocket Money) To make this DIY “Kintsugi Canyon” table from white GFRC concrete, I started by carving the canyon and crevice molds from foam. I coated the foam with epoxy resin and then placed the foam knockouts in the melamine concrete form. I sprayed a white GFRC concrete mix to get a nice even surface, and then handpacked the back coat of concrete. With the foam removed, I could proceed to apply gold leaf (aka gilding) to the canyon and crevices in the concrete. The gold leaf is a modern take on the ancient Japanese technique of kintsugi. // GOLD LEAF (GILDING) PRODUCTS Gold Leaf (Imitation): https://amzn.to/3O9Xnub Gilding Brushes: https://amzn.to/3AJLgAN Adhesive + Sealer for Gold Leaf: https://amzn.to/4fHbT8m // CONCRETE PRODUCT LINKS • Fishstone HP50 concrete mix: http://bit.ly/2YL4MFA • Fishstone Concrete Recipes: http://bit.ly/2srpxtI • Sprayer (aka hopper gun): http://bit.ly/2SqdhmO • Collomix Mixer: https://bit.ly/3fr8TDl • Acrylic Polymer: http://bit.ly/2SRQQHk • Alkali Resistant (AR) glass fibers: https://amzn.to/31y6kEe • Cake Fondant Tool for perfect edges: http://amzn.to/2w0JCVx • U-Seal Sealer: https://amzn.to/3SYSCVs • Helical Mixing Paddle: https://amzn.to/2GFyxjF • Concrete mixer: http://amzn.to/2kEnZFi • Concrete pigments: http://bit.ly/2GxzWrf • Paste Finishing Wax: http://amzn.to/2kF565e
