In this video, I take you through the full DIY process of building a gravel grid driveway from scratch – all shown in under 12 minutes.
This time-lapse shows the complete transformation, starting with removing bushes, breaking out the front garden wall, and digging out the full driveway area by hand. You'll see every stage of the build, including excavation, laying the MOT Type 2 sub-base, compacting with a whacker plate, adding a geotextile membrane, spreading a limestone screed layer, installing the EcoGrid gravel grids, and finally filling with 10mm gravel.
