Today, I’ll show you how to restore the steel frame of your rusty old vehicle using a few basic hand tools and some
great products from Eastwood!
My 1958 dodge power wagon lived a hard life as a landscaping vehicle before I got my hands on it. After stripping the frame down of everything attached to it, scraping and washing away all the dirt, I was ready to restore the frame to its original glory. I wire wheeled the frame down to bare metal and gave it a thorough degreasing with Eastwood’s Pre Painting Prep. With the surfaces prepared, I applied Eastwood’s Platinum Rust Encapsulator. After a 4 hour cure time, I applied Eastwood’s internal frame rail paint to encapsulate the rust inside my boxed in frame sections. Lastly, I applied Eastwood’s 2K Aerospray Chasis Paint in satin black. I couldn’t be happier with the result!!
