Welcome to this How To: video explaining how to make your very own cheap Static grass Applicator.
Model railway scenery creation has changed so much over the years and now "static grass" is a major feature used by many modellers.
The static grass applicator and material make covering any area large or small quick and easy. The only downside for many modellers has been the high cost of purchasing one, unfortunately the price of branded static grass applicators can exceed £50.
If you have a large layout, the cost is certainly worth it, but what if you have a smaller layout or on a budget?
Fortunately, these are not very complicated devices, with a little work and some basic skills, you can build your own in about 15 minutes and for around only £5.

Sieve/Tea strainer,
Brass Nail or Alligator Clip,
