Djent Lesson 5: Rhythmic Displacement, Polyrhythms and Syncopation
After a year long hiatus from this series I'm back with probably the best lesson I've made so far. This one deals directly with the rhythmic elements that you hear in Djent music (progressive metal.) I have no problem using that term as a genre because it serves as an umbrella for the more modern side of progressive metal, not the stuff that sings about fairies and dragons.
