This week I wanted to share my thoughts on corporal punishment. I know people have a lot of feelings on it that range from passive to the hill they are willing to lose everything on. I think it's one of those things that is particularly susceptible to confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance. When discussing it people bring up aspects of age, race, and gender when coming to their conclusions and most concede that there is more than one way to raise a child.
I also talk about an incident in a bar when I first moved to New York.
