I liked _Stormscale Scion_ so much in Mono-Red Belcher that I had to try it in _Ruby Storm._ In this version, we’re testing three copies of _Stormscale Scion_ IN THE MAIN DECK — even though they don’t synergize with _Ral, Monsoon Mage._
_Stormscale Scion_ gives us a way to beat cards like _Damping Sphere_ or _Orim’s Chant_ by winning through *low Storm count* turns. It dodges _Fatal Push,_ ignores graveyard hate, and hits for a LOT of damage. Against blue decks, this might be exactly what Ruby Storm needed.
We’re also running _Strike it Rich_ to ramp harder, and we’ve dropped cards like _Artist’s Talent_ and _Glimpse the Impossible_ because they've always felt clunky. This might be what we've always wanted for bad matchups like _Dimir FrogTide_ or _Boros Energy._
