I often see questions asked if ZFS causes write amplification or kills SSDs. In this video I look into this and see if its true, and what ZFS settings can be used to change the amount of write amplification ZFS does. I tried to get as much correct as I could about how ZFS works under the hood, but ZFS can be complex under the hood. I also tried to balance explaining enough so viewers can get the why of some of the settings with keeping a reasonable video length, but let me know if there are changes you would like to see.
