Without a doubt, Dominica is our favorite island in the Caribbean. Here, nature rules supreme, unmatched, undaunted. Numerous crisp-cool rivers meander thru lush and verdant, safe and pristine rainforest - sometimes tumbling off precipices to create waterfalls of jaw-dropping beauty. At other times, the rivers cut eerily-inviting paths thru steep canyons. Lakes, large, cold and mysterious, flood old craters 2500 feet (762 meters) atop dormant volcanoes where towering mountains trap passing clouds. Hiking trails abound.
Here, the turquoise, temperature-perfect waters of the Caribbean Sea color-block black-sand beaches. Warm and therapeutic sulphuric waters stream idly out of the soil - perfect natural spas. Rocks run red, waters run deep, history is aplenty, the people are unbelievably genuine and hospitable and the food fresh and tasty..
This is DOMINICA. Island Divine!
