This video will show you some helpful tips on taming and training your donkey. Once you can establish trust with your donkey, you can start the brushing, petting, and halter training process. Keep in mind that donkeys are not horses! They do not think and behave the same. This is a common mistake people make and will lead to a failed relationship with your donkey. Acting aggressive or dominant towards them will not gain positive behavior and success. Keeping your distance and allowing them to come to you is a great first start. Hang out with them daily and talk to them. A male jack donkey can be very dangerous. I strongly suggest gelding before trying to train a jack, especially a wild donkey that was not raised a lot with humans. Good luck with your training and comment below!
