📖 The Story of Bilaam Bin Baaouraa' — A Man with Knowledge, Destroyed by Desire

Bilaam bin Baaouraa’ was a righteous man, a scholar, and a devout worshiper.
He had knowledge of Allah’s Greatest Name — the one that, if invoked, Allah answers.
People would come to him for du'a, and he would be answered.
But then… something changed.
He was bribed by the enemies of Allah to curse Prophet Musa (AS) and the believers.
He knew the truth. He knew who was right.
But his greed, desires, and worldly attachments overpowered his knowledge and piety.
So he betrayed his own soul.
Allah revealed his story in the Qur’an:
“And recite to them the story of the one to whom We gave Our signs, but he detached himself from them, so Satan overtook him and he became of the deviators.
If We had willed, We could have elevated him, but he clung to the earth and followed his desires. So his example is like that of a dog...”

🐕 A dog — always panting, whether you chase it away or leave it.
This was Bilaam's fate: a scholar who became worse than an animal because he sold his hereafter for this world.

Knowledge is a responsibility.
Desire can destroy even the most righteous.
Never let the dunya blind you to the truth.
Betraying the truth after knowing it is among the worst crimes.
