For the small throw blanket I made, the measurements came out to about 50" long and 40" wide. I used a worsted weight yarn and a 5.75 hook, and with that I did 5 sets of 34 ending with two chains; so a total of 172 stitches, and I built the blanket up to 60 rows. of course you can use whatever kind of yarn and hook size you want, and you can make whatever size blanket you want.
