in a dystopian future #losangeles of 2019, ex-cop Rick Deckard (#harrisonford ) is reluctantly pulled back into duty as a "blade runner"—a special agent tasked with hunting down rogue replicants, bioengineered humanoids created for off-world labor. A group of these #replicants, led by the enigmatic and lethal Roy Batty (#rutgerhauer ), has escaped back to Earth in search of their creator, hoping to extend their artificially limited lifespans.
As Deckard tracks them down, he becomes entangled with Rachael (#seanyoung ), an advanced replicant who believes herself to be human. His mission forces him to confront deep philosophical questions about identity, memory, and what it truly means to be alive.
