DRIV3R (Driver 3) is the third game in the "Driver" series, released on consoles in 2004 and PC in 2005, developed by Reflections Interactive and published by Atari. With the recent success of the "Grand Theft Auto" series, the team wanted to try and capitalize on its popularity, subsequently adding gun combat as a major gameplay addition. The success of the previous two games alongside an expensive and extravagant marketing push allowed the game to stir up quite a large amount of hype leading up to its release. Unfortunately, poor gun combat, stiff animations and an empty world held this game back from what it could have been. ------------------------------ Intro - 0:00:00 --- Miami, Florida --- Police HQ - 0:04:17 Lead On Baccus - 0:06:40 The Siege - 0:10:00 Rooftops - 0:16:15 Impress Lomaz - 0:26:14 Gator's Yacht - 0:32:22 The Hit - 0:41:01 Trapped - 0:48:56 Dodge Island - 0:55:23 Retribution - 1:02:50 --- Nice, France --- Welcome To Nice - 1:08:36 Smash and Run - 1:17:43 18-Wheeler - 1:24:21 Hijack - 1:35:19 Arms Deal - 1:41:59 Booby Trap - 1:46:22 Calita In Trouble - 1:52:14 Rescue Dubois - 1:59:14 Hunted - 2:03:51 --- Istanbul, Turkey --- Surveillance - 2:11:55 Tanner Escapes - 2:23:27 Another Lead - 2:32:36 Alleyway - 2:37:28 The Chase - 2:47:36 Bomb Truck 2:54:31 Chase the Train - 2:59:51 End Sequence - 3:07:01 Credits - 3:08:07 ------------------------------ I had a great time with this game! Some of the missions took many attempts to complete due to some wonky physics or glitches, but it had an extremely quick and fluid checkpoint system that removed a lot of the frustration. As a whole, the driving felt great and was always super satisfying and the on-foot gun combat, as rudimentary as it was, was still enjoyable none-the-less. The short length certainly helped as well as it never felt like it overstayed its welcome 😊
