We drive the German Romantic Road in the most romantic part of the year - in autumn... part3
From Weikersheim (a charming town known for its Renaissance-style castle), we take the road heading northeast towards Röttingen, alongside the Tauber River.
Röttingen is a small town famous for its half-timbered houses and medieval charm.
From Röttingen, we head east towards Tauberscheckenbach, still along the Tauber River.
After Tauberscheckenbach, we continue heading east towards Rothenburg ob der Tauber. This town is one of the most famous stops along the Romantic Road, known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, cobbled streets, and iconic city wall. (we are not staying here though, but we go through the old town to show it to you)
From Rothenburg ob der Tauber, we take the road south to Dombühl, where we bid farewell to the Tauber River near Diebach.
From Dombühl, we continue south and finally we arrive at Feuchtwangen, another picturesque town along the Romantic Road. Feuchtwangen has its own historical appeal, with medieval buildings and a beautiful town square.
