"Duke of Edinburgh" 621 hauls the SteamRanger Heritage Railway Southern Encounter

621 "Duke of Edinburgh" is seen on Sunday the 3rd of June 2018 hauling the 3rd Southern Encounter of the year from Mount Barker in the Adelaide Hills to Victor Harbour on the coast. The train is seen at multiple locations including Strathalbyn, Finniss, Currency Creek & Goolwa. This is the first Southern Encounter of the year to be steam pulled for the whole trip & the first for 621. 621 "Duke of Edinburgh is a 4-6-2 Steam Engine which was built at Isington Works in 1936. It was used on the Adelaide to Port Pirie Broad Gauge Railway. Now 82 years after construction the locomotive is used on the SteamRanger Mount Barker to Victor Harbour Railway hauling there tourist passenger trains. Enjoyed the video?
