While playing around with looking at various things with my curve tracer I stumbled upon something quite interesting and unexpected. This exercise shows how much marketing and folklore can be nonsense and simply not true, as in the case that it is often said that a red Fasel is "better" than the inductor that comes in the Dunlop CryBaby. Is it really? Here is a link to my signal generator based curve tracer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wCQ__9Tvhw If you want to know more about wah pedals, check out this page: http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/wahpedl/wahped.htm#:~:text=What%20a%20wah%20does%20is%20clear-%20it%20is,a%20%22waaaah%22%20tone%2C%20or%20its%20tonal%20inverse%2C%20%22aaaooow%22. In some aspects, my experiments agree with RG Keen found when he was studying the magical Fasel inductor - such as the inductor creating asymmetrical distortion all on their own.
