Let's overdye some variegated 100% cotton yarn! I picked up some KnitPicks Dishie in "Pebble" http://shrsl.com/w8jf (Affiliate Link) because the multi colored yarn in shades of whites and greys could create some really subtle tonal variations in a dip dyed yarn. I decided to overdye this yarn with some Navy Rit Liquid dye. After the dyeing was complete, I decided to try out the Rit Color Fixative even though I was also working on filming an experiment to examine whether this dye fixative helps with the colorfastness on cotton fibers. So how did Rit hold up to dip dyeing? Watch to find out!
