You would expect tie dye kits to bring your brilliant colors on cotton yarns, and I have been pleased with the depth of color they've given to 100% wool in the past. I've never dyed a sock yarn with a tie dye kit, nor have I ever used black tie dye. Let's see what kinds of colors we can get on a superwash/nylon sock yarn! Thank you, Little Bird Stitchery, for sponsoring this video!
The yarn I dyed in this video is 100 g Bare stroll Fingering, 75% superwash merino/25% nylon http://shrsl.com/kp27 (KnitPicks Affiliate Link)
I used a Tulip One Step Tie Dye kit to dye this yarn http://amzn.to/2Amv4kS (Amazon affiliate link)
