A generous viewer sent us this ancient device and I was so impressed with its design and performance that I just had to make a video of it. We first review the overall design and circuitry, using a schematic to gain insights into how it functions, then test its accuracy against a modern guitar tuner and signal generator. I think you'll be just as amazed as I was at its complexity and performance, especially since no repairs were required after over 70 years of existence. I do, however, intend to replace the electrolytic caps and install a 3-wire power cord. NOTE: This is a relatively short, change-of-pace video and I really hope you enjoy it.
