- The particle + noun or adjective
The uses of は and が will depend on the thing you want to specify in your sentence! If the thing you want to emphasize is after the particle, use は and if it’s before, use が.
- The particle + verb
Basically, we use が before verbs, but if you use は before verbs, it may sound like you are excluding your subject and you will most often than not need a follow up sentence to complete your thought.
**NOTE
There are exceptions to the rules, and the stuff I talked about in this video is the most basic rule. Do practice by yourself from time to time so eventually get used to it!
