The Favero Assioma Pro MX pedals are easily the best power meter pedal system for gravel bikes, far ahead of the Garmin Rally and SRM X Power options, which are both more expensive. Often testing gear, product is quite similar, and “what’s best” comes down to nuance and personal preference. Also, more expensive can also mean better performance. Here, none of that is the case.
I’ve tested a single pair of PRO MX for about a year on all sorts of gravel bikes in all sorts of conditions. I tested a few pairs of the SRM X power for quite a while, in races and in training, and I have tested the Rally XC200 and every other single model of Garmin power meter pedal since they first came out years ago. I’ve ridden with a power meter of some sort, for 25 years now, dating back to the early PowerTap.
